Day 7 was spent leveling and securing so it looked the same. Day 8 was more securing and putting the first level of bar top on.
I knew leveling, squaring, and permanently securing the base was going to be a tough job. I spent about 2.5 hours on it last night and realized just how out of shape this 43 year old body is. I’m not used to crawling around on the floor, in and out of braces, and contorting my body like that. Another hour or so on it tonight and that part will be complete. Then on to the second level with more plywood cutting.
The base floor and frame are in place. The plan for tomorrow is to level and solidify frame with construction adhesive and drywall screws. All of which needs to take place before the first playoff game starts.
Work interfered with the bar building process this week. I hope to get as much done this weekend as possible, when I’m not watching the playoffs, of course.
Why are they called 2 x 4’s when they measure 2 x 3.5?
I’ve been wanting this for a long time and finally got it a couple weeks ago. It’s cool because it can fold up with the tools on it and I can move them anywhere I want, without breaking my back. It’s specifically made for miter saws but you can mount any benchtop power tool to it.
